Vacancy: Email Marketing Manager

Salary: £29,600 / €33,914pa

Hours: 30 per week, worked at any time through the week between 7am – 7pm UK/Ireland time

Working alongside: co-founders, growth marketing executive

Reporting to: co-founder, head of membership

Location: Fully remote, UK or Ireland. Occasional travel to sector events and team meetings (UK and international)

About the role

Since day one, Fundraising Everywhere has been known for hosting innovative, inclusive, and useful virtual events. As we grow, it’s essential that we continue to engage with our community in the best way possible as well as develop our marketing approach to best meet their needs.

We now host monthly online conferences, workshops, and webinars  – with adhoc in-person networking events in various cities across the UK and Ireland – for over 15,000 people.

This person will lead the email marketing at Fundraising Everywhere (FE), developing the email strategy and leading on execution of emails primarily (including sales, retention and journeys), content creation, reporting and PR support.

The purpose of the role is to lead on the existing marketing function to increase participation numbers to Fundraising Everywhere events, grow and retain our Membership base as well as brand awareness.

This will include:

Email (mailing list management)

  • Writing copy for email campaigns (supported by insights and positioning from co-founders)
  • Supporting graphic creation
  • Email analysis: performance, content, journeys (weekly, monthly, quarterly)
  • Strategic recommendations and implementation
  • Email; sales & retention, journeys (welcome, conversion, retention, reactivation)
  • Journey mapping and implementation
  • Regular testing and improvements

General

  • Contributes to team meetings
  • Contributes to marketing planning
  • Contributes to event curation

What we’re looking for

Someone who

  • Has knowledge and experience of email marketing: content, scheduling, analysis, and journeys
  • Has experience with MailChimp
  • Has experience with using a CRM for data and insights
  • Has experience working within the charity sector
  • Has experience and a proven track record of developing effective marketing content in email, paid and organic social marketing
  • Has experience and a proven track record of journey mapping and creating sophisticated email journeys, conversion funnels and conversion emails
  • Can regularly analyse activity and develop plans for continuous improvement
  • Proficient in analytics tools such as Google Analytics
  • Is great at written communication
  • Can make graphics (Canva is fine) for online use
  • Has great relationship building skills
  • Is a team player and can work alongside others on shared goals
  • Has a great attention to detail
  • Is (very) organised and proactive in spotting opportunities and working towards them
  • Data-driven, with strong analytical skills and attention to current trends in online marketing and measurement
  • Can keep Head of Growth Marketing up to date with what’s happening and what you require to make your job easier and more effective

Don’t worry if you haven’t worked with virtual events before, we will provide full training.
