Matt Smith
Head of Legacy and In-Memory Giving
Matt has been a fundraiser for over 17 years, spending most of that time being a passionate advocate for gifts in Wills and in-memory. He is well known in the sector and has been involved in various groups in the sector including previously sitting on council for Remember a Charity.
Matt has worked at several charities over the years, most recently at London’s Air Ambulance Charity where he built their legacy fundraising programme from scratch. He currently is a member of the Legacy Leaders’ Forum and heads up Legacy and In-Memory giving at Alzheimer’s Research UK.
When not doing all things gifts in Wills, Matt is the Chair of Trustees of an independent arts charity, Thames Opera Company – He says it keeps him out of trouble.
