Max Newton
Twenty five years in Fundraising at: Uncaged; from Regional Community Fundraiser to Fundraising Manager at the British Red Cross for 11.5 years; Shelter as Head of Community Fundraising, where he grew the team from a small pilot to a fully formed and integrated team; and most recently Director of Fundraising at Sheffield Hospitals Charity. Experience in all areas of fundraising and believes ALL good fundraising comes down to relationship building, supporter experience and storytelling. Lives in sunny Sheffield with partner and two kids (a dancer and a footballer), rescue dog and 2 cats. Outside of work runs ultra marathons (eg. 200miles in a dark tunnel), referees junior football, supports Nottingham Forest, and listens to 70s Funk and Golden Era Hip Hop. Wore a T shirt a day for 111 days during lockdown.
