Members Matching
Peer Advice Service
About
Thank you so much for your interest in our Members Matching Service.
This service allows members of the Fundraising Everywhere membership community to connect with a peer advisor when they are looking for support.
We receive a wide variety of requests, for example:
- Insights or advice into a challenged faced in a particular area of fundraising
- To connect with someone in a similar role or milestone in their fundraising journey
- How to get started with a specific type of fundraising campaign
- Advice on upskilling with the goal of moving into a leadership position
Once you submit a request, we’ll match you with a peer advisor from our community so you can arrange an informal chat or ask your question via email. It’s a low-commitment way to get focused, practical input from someone who’s been there.
Since launching in October 2024 we have successfully matched over 100 members through our matchmaking service.

Testimonial
Through the match making service that FE offer, I was incredibly impressed to be quickly paired with an advisor that was a leading fundraiser in my area of research and someone whom I already followed for their outstanding work. They were able to talk through my questions and went above and beyond to help support the development of the strategy I was writing. This has been so impactful not just for my own progression and understanding, but also for the finished proposals I’m now submitting to my charity.

What Happens Next
Matching can take a little time, as we want to find the right peer advisor for your request. In the meantime, if you’d like some resources on your topic, email meghan@fundraisingeverywhere.com and she can help signpost you.
We’ll always do our best to find you the right peer advisor for your topic, though we may not always be able to find a match for very niche or specific requests (e.g., experience with a particular CRM).
Once matched, an introduction email will be sent to the requestor and peer advisor. You will then be able to chat about the request via email or set up a 30-minute call. There is no ongoing obligation on either side after that, though we’re always glad to hear when a match turns into an ongoing connection.
To make sure we don’t ask too much of any one volunteer, we try not to match the same peer advisor more than once every 6 months.
If you’re interested in both giving and getting support, you’re welcome to do both. Sign up as a peer advisor and submit a request for advice. Many members do both at once!
