So, what’s trending in May?
1. FE Accelerator: Lottery Fundraising

The UK lottery market is huge, and it’s still growing. For UK charities, lottery income topped over £1bn for the first time in 2024, and the channel has experienced 17% annual compound growth for the last ten years.
In the UK, almost two thirds of adults play or have played a lottery style game in the past twelve months, and for charities running lotteries, they often deliver more than just short-term income – the channel also act as a pipeline into long-term donors.
Join March’s Lottery Fundraising Accelerator to learn how to launch, grow, and scale your lottery giving programme.
Whether you’re just getting started or looking to take the next step, in just three hours our expert trainer George Collins, Chair of the Lotteries Council and Commercial Director of CFP Lottery and Raffles, will cover everything you need to be compliant, and fundraise successfully.
2. How to find warm prospects (for free)

Finding the right corporate partners doesn’t have to rely on expensive databases or paid tools. In fact, some of the strongest partnerships start with curiosity, creativity and a bit of clever research.
In this session, we’ll explore practical techniques for building a warm corporate prospect pipeline, using only free and accessible tools. You’ll learn how to uncover companies already aligned with your cause, spot signs of shared purpose, and prioritise those most likely to engage. Whether you’re just starting out or already have a programme in place, this approach will help you grow your warm pipeline with confidence and clarity.
You’ll leave with a step-by-step framework you can use straight away – one that helps any organisation, from the smallest community group to the biggest national charity, find and connect with the right corporate partners.

How to ask trustees and colleagues for introductions
What a good prospect looks like
How to identify potential corporate partners
3. Beyond the ask: Building engagement-led journeys that last at Oxfam

Not all fundraising journeys start with a donation. Some of the most valuable supporter relationships begin miles away from a traditional fundraising ask, but too often these moments are treated as one-offs, with limited follow-up or long-term thinking.
Join Forward Action and Oxfam to explore how engagement-led journeys can turn any interaction, from quizzes and retail touchpoints to campaigning moments and emergency responses, into the start of a deeper relationship. We’ll share examples including Second Hand September, emergency campaigning, and retail and volunteer welcome journeys. Through these examples, we’ll show how Oxfam has been working to build meaningful supporter care and clear next steps into experiences that start anywhere across the charity’s ecosystem.
At the heart of this approach is integration. Oxfam are bringing data, planning, and insight together to create a more joined-up view of the supporter, and it’s helping to drive deeper engagement with supporters and higher value for the charity, whether it shows up as advocacy, trust, repeat action, or income.
Grounded in Oxfam’s engagement pyramid, this session will encourage attendees to look beyond big set-piece moments and start designing joined-up journeys that build long-term value, not just short-term returns.
Key learnings from this session:
- How Oxfam and Forward Action have turned digital interactions into a pathway for deeper engagement
- How engagement signals are used to grow long-term supporter value, not just one-off income
- How joining up data and planning helps teams get more from existing activity
4. Corporate fundraising in 2026: trends and insights

The world of corporate fundraising is shifting quickly. Economic pressure, changing expectations around ESG, employee activism, and growing scrutiny of corporate impact are all reshaping how (and why) companies choose to work with charities. But what does this look like from inside businesses themselves?
In this panel discussion, Andy King, Preeya Versani and Lesley Pinder will explore the biggest trends shaping corporate partnerships in 2026, drawing on lived experience and research based on in-depth interviews with 20 people working inside companies.
Together, we’ll unpack what’s changing in the way businesses think about charity partnerships, what is becoming more important in decision-making, and where charities are still misunderstanding how companies operate.
If you want to understand how corporate fundraising is evolving (and what charities need to do differently to keep pace) this session will offer a clear and candid view of the road ahead.
