Logging into the event platform
How to log into the platform for your live event.
Pre-event preparation
- It is recommended to use an up-to-date browser like Google Chrome or Firefox for the best results.
- You will receive a calendar invite containing a join link and instructions.
Accessing the speaker join page
- The link will take you to the Speaker Join page where you’ll see a button for your session.
- Click on the button as noted in your calendar invite.
- You can also perform a Pre-booked Demo/Test or a Connection Test from this page.
Pre-studio setup
- System Check: The platform will automatically check your camera and microphone, but you may be prompted to allow access. You can also check the camera/microphone icon in the address bar at the top of the page.
- Device Settings:
- Click Settings to select the correct camera, microphone, and speakers if you have more than one device.
- It is a good idea to use a headset or headphones to avoid any echo.
- Visual Check: Ensure you are evenly lit from the front and your camera is at eye level.
- Enter Name: Enter your name as you’d like it to appear on screen.
- Enter the Studio: Click the button to enter the studio.
Backstage waiting area
- Once you’ve logged in, you’ll be backstage.
- You will be able to see everything that’s happening in the main video window.
- The engineer will let you know when they are ready for you to be live on screen.
- The engineer will then move you to the main stage for your session, where you’ll be seen and heard by the audience.
