Ciaran Mackle

Ciaran Mackle is currently Head of Fundraising at BBC Children in Need, where he leads the charity’s fundraising strategy and mass audience engagement activities, with a focus on building sustainable income, strengthening supporter relationships, and driving innovation across fundraising and engagement programmes.

Prior to this, he held senior fundraising and marketing roles at Save the Children UK, Friends of the Earth, and the British Red Cross, developing expertise across individual giving, supporter engagement, brand, insight, and campaign development. With more than a decade of experience in the charity sector, Ciaran is passionate about creating audience-led strategies that combine data, creativity, and collaboration to deepen engagement, unlock growth, and maximise impact for the causes and communities charities serve.
