David Burgess
As a consultant and trainer David specialises in helping arts, culture and higher education organisations of all shapes and sizes to achieve their fundraising goals. Following roles at Manchester Camerata, Royal Exchange Theatre, Glyndebourne, English Touring Opera and the Management Centre (=mc), David launched Apollo Fundraising in 2016.
Current and recent projects include leading a capital campaign to build a new home for a 100-year old rhino, developing the fundraising strategy for the home of the UK’s Leather & Fetish Archive and writing a case for support to reduce the cooking time of beans by a third.
In addition to running Apollo Fundraising, David is also a Consulting Fellow with Halpin Partnership, and chairs the Chartered Institute of Fundraising’s Cultural Sector Network.
