I am 17 years old. When I was 14 I was seriously injured in the Manchester Arena Attack and lost my best friend, Nell. I spent 5 and 1/2 weeks in hospital where I was recovering from 29 separate injuries. I started straight after the attack raising money for the hospital that saved my life- Royal Manchester Children’s hospital. I also have raised money for the house that took care of my family whilst I was in hospital- Ronald McDonald House. I’ve raised almost £70,000 for the hospital, and will continue to fundraise for the rest of my life.
In this moving video, Freya Lewis speaks openly about her own experience and recovery from the attack and the invaluable support network that helped her through it.
