Grahame Darnell, B.Com, MCIOF, ILMDip

Grahame is an experienced fundraising and marketing leader with a proven track record of working with clients to grow income.

Grahame has successfully led a boutique consultancy for fifteen years offering specialisms in all aspects of income generation, partnerships and social purpose. He has a mix of over 25 years’ experience in the not-for-profit sector and prior to that worked in a marketing agency on major accounts such as Microsoft and BT.

Prior to his consulting work, Grahame worked in-house, including as a director of fundraising in a £200m charity where he drove growth and co-led an organisational rebrand. He has also had successful roles as head of partnerships working with major companies to deliver six and seven figure relationships.

Grahame and his team have track record of partnering with clients to help them successfully diversify income and drive increased income. He has worked extensively with CEOs and marketing and fundraising directors to review strategies and shape new approaches using solid analysis and creative thinking.

As well as working as a consultant, Grahame has solid governance experience. He has been a trustee of St Raphael’s Hospice, where he chairs the Income Generation and Communications committee, since January 2022. During his time the charity has set out a robust growth strategy and continues to beat targets.

Grahame has a 2:1 (Hons) business degree from the University of Birmingham and a Management Diploma from the Institute of Leadership and Management (University of Southampton).
