Luca Straker

Luca Straker (they/them) is one of the co-founders of Proud Changemakers – a group of LGBTQIA+ volunteers who amplify LGBTQIA+ people and their experiences across civil society, and create spaces for them to feel safe and included. They do this through their podcast, social media, newsletters, speaking at events – and are in the process of creating a community network and hosting topic specific events.

Luca has over 15 years experience of voluntary sector communications and campaigning – at organisations such as NAVCA and Tinnitus UK and is currently the Campaigns Manager at Brake, the road safety charity.

Luca is also a public speaker and trainer on creating inclusive workplaces specifically regarding people from the LGBTQIA+ community, and has co-founded and led a number of inclusion networks and activism groups across the voluntary sector.
