Ryan is from Toronto, Ontario, and is the Development Lead at Jack.org. After graduating from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Commerce degree in 2016, Ryan worked in business development at a mid-sized tech company. But, throughout his time there he felt that he was ignoring his passion for mental health and wanted to do something about it. So, in the spring of 2018, Ryan quit his job and biked across Canada for mental health. The ride was an opportunity for Ryan to expose struggles and get people talking about theirs. It was a life-changing initiative that raised $125,000 for mental health in Canada and is what launched Ryan into the non-profit space. Now at Jack.org, Ryan gets to combine his passion for mental health with his business background by building corporate partnerships to support Jack.org's work. Outside of work and mental health, Ryan can be found participating in a wide range of activities. During the summer, he’s kiteboarding on Lake Huron and mountain biking in the Don Valley. In the winter, he can be found skiing in Collingwood and playing shinny throughout Toronto with an Auston Matthews jersey on.
