In 2009 Scott was appointed the government’s learning disabilities Co-Tsar, representing people with learning disabilities at the heart of policymaking and government. 2013 Scott has been working for SeeAbility, first as an Eye Care and Vision Development Officer Ambassador for Health Education England a board member of Learning Disability England. 2018 he was awarded a British Empire Medal in the New Year’s Honours List. 2019 his campaigning work as part of the team at SeeAbility contributed to an NHS policy change meaning Lots of children with learning disabilities will get the eye care. 2019 Scott now leads an engagement programme at SeeAbility. He is supporting people with learning disabilities and autism to become future leaders. 2019 Scott was named as 100 most influential disabled people on Shaw Trust Power100 list. 2020 Scott was named as 100 most influential disabled people on Shaw Trust Power100 list
