Mandi Conway Fundraiser Training Fund

We know that some teams aren’t given a training budget and we see the impact that has on their progress, wellbeing, and confidence.

We want to change that.

Apply to the Mandi Conway Fundraiser Training Fund to receive full or partial funding for your next course or conference.

If you’re an employed fundraiser at a UK or Ireland-based charity and you haven’t been allocated any budget for training, this fund is for you.

Mandi was incredibly passionate about making sure fundraisers had what they needed to be able to do their job; whether that was training, support, or simply someone to listen, she wanted to make sure it was there. It’s why we wanted to work with her.

In honour of Mandi, Fundraising Everywhere has launched a training fund in her name – making sure professional development can reach even more people that need it and keeping her memory alive through something she cared so much about.

Yes. But as the fund grows and we have more capacity, opening us access beyond the UK and Ireland is the first thing we’ll do.

You can use the money to book online or in-person training or networking events including:

  • Webinars
  • Courses
  • Conferences or Conventions
  • Attending networking events
  • 1:1 or group coaching

No, you can use it wherever is right for you. We hope you find everything you need on our platform or in our Membership but understand that there may be other things out there that suit you better.

No. We don’t want this fund to become a reason for teams not to continuously invest in your training so it’s strictly for teams/people that haven’t been given any. Contact [email protected] if you have any special or tricky circumstances you want to discuss before applying.

No. We understand that even some bigger teams have training budget issues when the budget isn’t big enough to reach everyone.

Each time a speaker chooses not to take a fee, we’ll donate it to the fund. Our goal is to add an additional 5% of our sponsorship income from 2024 into the pot too.

Yes, please! We’d love to hear how the fund has helped you so we’ll be in touch after your course date to see how you’ve got on. Don’t worry, you won’t need to write a report! It will be a series of short questions on a survey.

Successful applicants will be people who can share a clear reason and goal for accessing the training they want us to fund so please tell us why you’ve chosen it, what specific project you’re working on that it will benefit, and what success will look like for you after you’ve attended.

We also prioritise people who haven’t had training this year, people with no training budget, and those who are applying for lower amounts (this way we’re able to fund more people).

You can choose to receive partial funding or be added to the waiting list to be the first to receive full funding when it’s topped up again.

We will take a look at these at the start of each month beginning in January 2024 and will let applicants know the outcome. Depending on the number of applications we may change the frequency as the fund grows.

Yes. If you would like to make a contribution to the fund you can make a donation by credit card here. Alternatively, please contact [email protected] to discuss.
