I love what I do, but in 2020 seriously considered how I could quit the internet because the social media and email overwhelm were real. I looked at my Twitter feed and noticed how many people were feeling the same.
That's why brand and communication strategy is at the heart of what I do. Often we think it's a practical issue we need to fix in our organisations to make our digital marketing work harder for us and help us feel more in control: increase capacity to write more emails, upskill volunteers in social media etc.
But more often than not, it's a wobbly foundation that makes us feel like our online presence isn't helping us grow.
Ultimately, my job is to make you feel like out of all the things on your to-do list you need to worry about, about that your digital marketing isn't one of them!
