Ruby Bayley

Bio

Ruby is a fundraiser and feminist organiser who's raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for good causes in her career. She currently works in the Fundraising Strategy and Innovation team at the British Red Cross and is a Trustee of menstrual equity charity Bloody Good Period. In March last year, she shared her experiences of sexual harassment in an article for Fundraising Magazine. This sparked the sector's much-needed #MeToo movement and resulted in the Institute of Fundraising reviewing its Code of Conduct and Complaints Policy. Previously, she worked at Amnesty International UK on strategic fundraising projects and at the MS Society to deliver a fundraising change programme and a £107m capital appeal. Ruby can't help but bring her feminism to her work; she led a Women and Non-Binary Group at Amnesty and is a founding Chair of the Gender Equality Network at the British Red Cross. In 2018, she was shortlisted as one of Civil Society Fundraising Magazine's 25-under-35 up and coming fundraisers.
