Talk Details
A panel Q&A with Chans, Training & Quality Assurance Programme Manager and Kate, Compliance Manager, with Cam interviewing them on how in fundraising (with a focus on IG campaigns) they have developed a compliance culture within the British Red Cross through working in partnership with Training & Quality Assurance and compliance functions, Framework/checklists, workshops with teams and of course sector leading e-learning compliance training developed internally.
Key learnings from this session:
- Focus on what fundraisers need (rather than regurgitating information, ensure you are creating meaningful support). A really healthy compliance culture is as much about helping fundraisers to take advantage of the opportunities rather than holding their reins when they need to move quickly
- Be flexible (recognising things won’t always be perfect and need to evolve)
- Ongoing process The work is never done! As more people enter the sector, developments are made in relation to compliance and we constantly want to strive to make sure what we are putting out there remains useful and engaging – it all means our work is never truly done!
